Sofia Curtis |
Detective Sofia Curtis
Sofia attended UCLA with Jake, becoming his wife after completing her studies. Both were fast tracked into the LAPD detective
division and earned a reputation as LAPD's Lois and Clark - as much for their ability to get each other into and out of trouble
as for their personal relationship. When her marriage failed, Sofia returned home to Las Vegas. Despite her reluctance to
become a CSI she approached her latest assignment with a thirst for justice - making her stand out from her fellow scientists.
After being demoted from days supervisor in the Crimelab, Sofia returned to her true calling - police work. After two years
as a detective in Las Vegas, Sofia once again finds herself getting into trouble with Jake as joint leader of the Fugitive
Recovery Unit.

Jake Barret |
Detective Jake Barret
The son of an English academic and a Mississippi preacher, Jake learnt about right and wrong from a very early age. Educated
in England, Jake attended UCLA as a way to be closer to his father. Thinking through a problem is a trait gained from his
mother, however when it comes to Sofia, Jake lets his heart rule his head. A gunshot wound ruined Jake's career and ended
his marriage, prompting his move to the FBI. After ten years of distinguished service he is now returning to LA with a chance
to put right his past mistakes - both professionally and personally.

Annie Kramer |
Captain Annie Kramer
An old friend of Jim Brass, he charged Annie with looking after Sofia. An old colleague of Jake and Sofia's, she knows
that it will be a full time job. The streetwise Jersey cop is responsible for the FRU taskforce although she trusts Jake and
Sofia to run their cases. She sees her role more as a protector of her detective's unconventional methods and occasional peacemaker
than supervisor. However this doesn't mean she is adverse to banging heads together when needed. Whilst publicly defending
Jake and Sofia in their new roles, privately Kramer is worried that not all the troubled water has passed under the bridge.

Wolfie Merke |
Dr Wolfgang 'Wolfie' Merke
As one of LA's top medical examiners, the FRU isn't the only crew Wolfie rolls with, but it's the one he most enjoys.
Always with a smile on his face, Wolfie doesn't see a crime he sees a medical procedure - "Thousands of doctors all over
the country are cutting patients open as we speak...mine just don't need the anaesthetic...".

Clare Ryan |
CSI Clare Ryan
As the FRU's resident CSI, Ryan's role isn't to find a name, it's to find a pattern. Analysing evidence brought in by
the FRU makes links to other crimes and gives the detectives new leads to follow. A mother of two young children, Ryan doesn't
miss the satisfaction of solving a crime - her job helps keep evil off the streets and away from her kids.

Greg Sanders |
CSI Greg Sanders
His decision to leave Las Vegas shocked his colleagues but they didn't stand in the young man's way. Killing a man in
self defence and an horrific beating in the line of duty made Greg reassess his life. Vegas was no longer the weird and wonderful
playground - it was a reminder of guilt and pain. Feeling the need for a change in scenery, his offer to work for Sofia was
accepted. As one of only two CSI's on the team, Greg enjoys a greater responsibility than he experienced in Vegas. Although
delighted with the prospect of running his own evidence, secretly Greg is happiest when working with Sofia - trusting and
learning from her guidance as he did before.
